Having an interfaith (Jewish-Hindu) wedding was a really daunting task, but the Lamhé broke down the planning into a good set of discrete, easy-to-understand goals. We decided to have two religious ceremonies on the same day, and the Lamhé team designed a schedule that helped everything move smoothly. Our wedding took place in a museum, so logistics were a little more complicated than they would have been in a hotel or catering hall. However, they organized all of our vendors to work in a tight schedule so that we were free to enjoy our day. Best of all, they helped us get a jump on key tasks— scheduling the venue, finding a photographer and DJ, and organizing two separate caterers (South Indian and Mediterranean). Overall, we would gladly recommend Lamhé for any Indian wedding. Their network of vendors and ability to guide us through the wedding industry really helped us start and end the wedding planning process effectively.

We originally figured we didn't need a wedding planner—we could handle putting together a party, right? But, after logging hundreds of hours without much progress, we took a wise friend’s advice and hired Lamhé Bridal Consultants. When I first heard that one of their services was mediating between the bride and her parents, I laughed— I love my parents, and of course we wouldn't have any trouble putting this together! Fast forward a couple months when my mom and I started yelling at each other. I was so glad to have Suniti & Rina on the line to calm us down and get us back to productive discussion. Most people will plan only one big wedding of their own. It is extremely important to have an objective third party with years of experience. Lamhé kept us on track in the time leading up to the wedding and on the day itself. Their exhaustive lists and timelines ensured that no detail was left out. They kept us calm when things out of our control went wrong (like the florist quitting her job three days before the wedding, and the antique car we had booked breaking down the morning of the wedding). The Lamhé team ran a complicated event—five luxury buses, four meals each with a different caterer, three venues all over Manhattan, two ceremonies from both cultures, and probably a partridge in a pear tree that we missed because we didn't have to worry—they made sure it all went smoothly.

I only have great things to say about my Sangeet planning experience with Lamhé. We would not have been able to coordinate everyone (all of our cousins) and we didn't have the time to choreograph dances, think of a theme, pick & cut songs, etc. However, Rina and Suniti's team did it all with such grace! Not only did they make sure that everyone was on cue during the Sangeet program, but they coordinated the entire day to make sure it went on schedule. They had so many creative ideas and were really able to bring my whole family together to make this an unforgettable event.
